Creation of a new Foundation

Paediatric allergy is a speciality founded on the scientific basis of imunology. The speciality is devoted to the care of children with allergies or immunologic diseases. A European tradition of excellence has been established by the European Society for Peadiatric Allergology and Clinical Immunology (ESPACI). The Society has been merged in 2001 with the section on pediatrics of the European Academy of Allergology and Clinical Immunology (EAACI). It has been recently decided to create the EAACI-Clemens von Pirquet Foundation to improve the funding of research and education in paediatric allergology and immunology by using assets from the former ESPACI.
